EXPOSE DEMENTIA TOUR

The purpose of the Expose Dementia Tour is to take the messages of Remember Me: Dementia in the African American Community and Exposing Dementia: 8 Critical Takeaways for African Americans to cities across the country to educate the most impacted communities on one of the health crises that is ravaging the Black community and stimulate conversations around topics that include:

• Explanations of what dementia is;

• Detailing the more than 100 types/causes of dementia;

• Highlighting the health disparities;

• Discussing the risk factors for dementia; and

• Helping to establish action plans to reverse the trends. 

The documentary features first-hand interviews from dementia patients, caregivers, dementia experts, and members of the media community. Among them are Academy Award winner Louis Gossett Jr.;  Dr. Fayron Epps; Dr. Antoine Trammell;  Dr. Stephanie Johnson; Caregiver advocate Dawnita Brown; and many more.

The feature length film has already received recognition from multiple film festivals around the world.
